No. 5 SMU volleyball swept Boston College to reach 12–2 and 4–0 in ACC play, powered by a season-best .468 hitting mark and Suli Davis’ 16 kills.

No. 5 SMU volleyball made its first ACC road trip of the season look comfortable.

The Mustangs swept Boston College on Sunday, extending their winning streak to six matches and keeping their conference record perfect at 4-0.

The 25-19, 25-12, 25-18 victory was one of SMU’s sharpest offensive performances of the year.

The Mustangs hit a season-best .468, repeatedly finding open space and putting Boston College under pressure. The Eagles managed just a .091 hitting percentage, while SMU matched its season high with 15 blocks.

Suli Davis led the charge with 16 kills and a career-best .556 hitting percentage. She also contributed six blocks, another career high.

Setter Hannah Beauford helped keep the offense moving with 32 assists, while Favor Anyanwu anchored the net with eight blocks. Jadyn Livings added nine kills in her second start of the season.

The sweep capped a strong weekend in the Northeast. SMU first took down Syracuse in straight sets, holding the Orange to a .000 hitting percentage.

Two road wins brought the Mustangs to 12–2 overall and stretched their active ACC winning streak to 13 matches.

That’s a notable run for a team that’s quickly establishing itself as a conference force. SMU has won six straight matches and has held opponents below a .100 hitting percentage four times this season.

The latest performance showed how effective the Mustangs can be when their offense and blocking click together.

For head coach Samantha Erger’s team, the next challenge is sustaining that level as ACC play continues.

A .468 hitting performance is difficult to replicate every night, but SMU’s recent run points to more than a one-match hot streak: the Mustangs have hit at least .300 in five consecutive matches, while their defense has kept opposing hitters off balance.
