SMU’s 2026-27 ACC slate is loaded, with Duke, Clemson, Pitt, Syracuse and Wake Forest coming to Moody Coliseum.
SMU basketball just got its next ACC roadmap, and Moody Coliseum is going to have some serious juice in 2026-27.
The ACC announced home and road opponents for the 2026-27 men’s basketball season on Thursday, giving Andy Enfield’s Mustangs a clearer look at what their third year in the league will demand.
SMU will play Georgia Tech and Louisville twice, with both programs visiting Dallas and also hosting the Mustangs on the road.
The real headline, though, is the home-only draw. Duke is coming to Moody Coliseum, and that’s the kind of game that can turn a regular-season night into a national spotlight moment.
SMU will also host Cal, Clemson, Pitt, Stanford, Syracuse and Wake Forest, giving the Mustangs a home schedule with plenty of brand power and real resume opportunity.
The road side won’t be friendly.
SMU will travel to Boston College, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Notre Dame, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
That’s a grown-up ACC travel grind, especially with trips to Chapel Hill, Charlottesville and Raleigh sitting on the list.
Still, this is exactly the kind of schedule SMU wanted when it jumped into the ACC.
The Mustangs are no longer trying to prove they belong in theory. They’re trying to build on a 2025-26 season that included their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2017, two top-25 wins and their first AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll rankings in nine years.
SMU went 20-14 last season and is 44-25 over the last two years, including a 21-17 ACC record.
Enfield also brings in one of the nation’s top transfer classes, ranked No. 6 nationally and No. 2 in the ACC by On3.

The 2027 ACC Tournament is set for March 9-13 at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Dates and TV assignments for the regular season will come later.
For now, the message is simple: SMU’s ACC life is getting louder, and Moody is about to matter.
