Former Mustang Bryson DeChambeau is ready for another chance to capture his first Masters title and he is bringing a new invention along for the ride.

It's Masters weekend once again and former Mustang Bryson DeChambeau is thinking outside the box - or rather bag - in his latest stint in Augusta.

According to ESPN, DeChambeau will be adding a 5-iron that he made himself with a 3D printer into his arsenal. It will still have to be approved by the United States Golf Association before it can used on the course, but it is the newest innovation from the so-called 'Mad Scientist.'

The current LIV Golf League captain has been known for his non-traditional approach to the sport, which has been showcased before at the Masters. He previously used a long-drive method to virtually shorten the course to a par-67 that did not work out as he had envisioned.

While he switched up from using a brazen play style, he has continued to introduce creative ideas into his outings. Needless to say, a self-made club is one of these concepts.

Speaking on the decision to craft his own clubs, DeChambeau said, "There's this nature that I have about myself where innovation is a habit of mine, and I really find and take pride in that ability to learn -- even through failure, even through making a bad decision or a good decision -- what I can get from that."

There is no bigger stage than the Masters to test the newest innovation from DeChambeau and is a bold move, especially if things don't go as planned. However, it seems that based on his words that he isn't worried of the potential failure.

DeChambeau may be making headlines for his intriguing inventions, he has a serious chance to make a statement on the course this weekend. One of the most promising talents in the current era of the sport, he has previously captured two U.S. Open titles.

The Masters has eluded him, but he has been on the doorstep in recent years with two consecutive top-ten finishes. Even without adding the 3D-printed clubs to his disposal, DeChambeau entered the tournament as a serious threat to don his first green jacket.

There was already assuredly going to be lots of eyes on DeChambeau this weekend and this newest scheme only adds even more intrigue to his latest Masters trip.

It remains to be seen how much of an impact, if any, this one-of-a-kind 5-iron will make, but it is shaping to be another memorable outing in Augusta, nonetheless.
