SMU men’s soccer will host the Jordan Mann Alumni Game on Saturday, bringing former Mustangs and their families together in Dallas.
SMU men’s soccer will welcome former Mustangs back to campus Saturday for the annual Jordan Mann Alumni Game, a meaningful tradition that blends program pride with a powerful purpose.
The event is scheduled for April 25 at 2 p.m. CT at SMU Intramural Field in Dallas. All SMU men’s soccer alumni and their families are invited, and kids are welcome to attend. The day will also include a post-game gathering with food, drinks and dessert.
The alumni game is held in memory of former SMU midfielder Jordan Mann, who died in May 2007 shortly after graduating with a finance degree. Mann was part of SMU’s 2005 NCAA Final Four team and remains an important figure in the history of the Mustangs’ soccer program.

His family has continued to honor his legacy through the Jordan Mann Foundation, which supports heart health assessments for youth athletes. The foundation’s mission is tied to early detection after Mann passed away from an undetected congenital heart abnormality that had shown no symptoms.
For SMU, Saturday’s event is more than a reunion. It’s a chance for alumni to reconnect, celebrate the program and remember a teammate whose impact continues nearly two decades later.
