Cardinal reunions and plenty of player movement for the 2026 NFL season.

With the 2026-27 NFL season officially kicking off, it's time to take a look at some of the new additions to the league's ranks from The Farm, while also keeping track of some of the movement from former Cardinal during the offseason.

Stanford had three players from the 2025 team selected in the NFL Draft, with tight end Sam Roush selected in the third round (69th overall) by the Chicago Bears, CJ Williams going to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round (203rd overall), and Collin Wright signing with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent.

All three players are listed as backups on the most recent depth charts for each of their teams, but figure to see some action over the course of the season.

New Faces in Different Places

Punter Jake Bailey enters his eighth season with a brand-new team after signing a three-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons back in March.

He'll also be reunited with tight end Austin Hooper, who has rejoined the Falcons this offseason on a one-year deal. The duo spent the 2015 season on The Farm together. Hooper was selected by the Falcons in the third round (86th overall) of the 2016 draft.

After three years with the New York Giants, Bobby Okereke signed a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers at the end of August. Now 30, Okereke brings experience and leadership to a linebacker group that could use both.

Linebacker Curtis Robinson had been with the San Francisco 49ers since 2021, appearing sparingly until the 2025 campaign in which he played in a career-high 14 games and made the first three starts of his career. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys back in April, and was assigned to the practice squad.

Robinson, Ethan Bonner (Dolphins) and Foster Sarell (Texans) have all been assigned to the practice squad to begin the year. Sarell, like Robinson, is with a new team this year after spending his first four years (41 games) with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Solomon Thomas is entering his 10th season in the NFL, and the former third overall pick of the 49ers is headed to the Tennessee Titans after a pre-draft pick-swap trade between the Cowboys and Titans. This will be Thomas's third time playing for coach Robert Saleh, after previous stints with the 49ers and New York Jets. Thomas has been a regular on the field throughout his career, but hasn't been a regular starter since 2018.
