There is plenty of upside in the WR room, but at the same time there aren't many surefire bets for Stanford.
This morning there have been rumors of an injury to Stanford wide receiver Caden High that would sideline him for a little bit of time, but with the expectation that he'd be able to return to the field later this season. A representative of Stanford football was unable to confirm that rumor. That doesn't mean it's not true, just that the program isn't ready to spread the news if it is.
Still, it's important to take a look at the depth that Stanford has in the wide receiver room. JonAnthony Hall and David Pantelis — two wideouts who are expected to have decent-sized roles on this team — each missed most or all of the 2025 campaign.

Stanford's top three leading receivers from 2025, CJ Williams (749 yards), Sam Roush (545 yards), and Bryce Farrell (455 yards) have all moved on. High ranked fourth with 414 receiving yards. If he misses some time, running back Micah Ford (119) would be the leading returning receiver from last year when the season kicks off on August 29.
Four WR to Watch
Pantelis has the most experience of this group, catching 119 passes for 1,652 yards across parts of four seasons at Yale. He transferred to Stanford ahead of the 2025 campaign, which he missed completely due to injury. In his final season at Yale, he caught 61 passes for 901 yards and eight touchdowns — a solid, experienced receiver worth monitoring.
Now with a new coaching staff and an injury behind him, the hope is that he'll have a role where he can do damage.
Nico Brown, another experienced wideout from Yale, may end up being the transfer that has the biggest impact on the roster. Last season with the Bulldogs, Brown caught 71 passes for 1,085 yards and 11 touchdowns. His receiving grades on PFF were excellent, though they came in the Ivy League.
The question for both Brown and Pantelis will be how those numbers translate into ACC play. Brown will also be joining his younger brother Marcus, a junior, on The Farm. Marcus is also a wide receiver and played no small role in getting his brother to join him with the Cardinal.
The younger Brown has 13 catches for 93 yards and a touchdown across two seasons.
The other two receivers to keep an eye on haven't caught a single pass in college. Hall, who missed most of last season due to injury, played in one game and didn't accrue any stats. He came in as a four-star recruit and a top-50 WR prospect in the 2025 class. He's had a season on The Farm, but without the hands-on experience of game action.
Zion Robinson, a four-star recruit this season, is the other guy to watch out for. Already pegged by ESPN as a potential breakout freshman, Robinson's opportunity to shine may have just opened up.
