'The TBT' run for the SU alums begins on July 21.
The Syracuse University alumni team 'Boeheim's Army' secured another member of its roster for the 'TBT' on Thursday when it was announced that Cole Swider will join a group that already has Buddy Boeheim, Jimmy Boeheim, Wesley Johnson, Eric Devendorf and Elijah Hughes.
The 'TBT' begins on July 21 as Syracuse takes on the Seton Hall alumni team in a best-of-three series.
We've got more details on what you need to know below:
How does the 'TBT' work?
After having 61 teams in 2025, 'TBT' will feature only 14 teams this year, with eight alumni teams and six non-alumni teams competing on two separate sides of a bracket.
The alumni bracket will take place in college towns across the country.
The eight alumni teams will be matched up in best-of-three series, while the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship will be single-elimination.
The non-alumni bracket will feature six teams playing from July 23-30 in Las Vegas. Four of the eight slots have already been filled, with one of those slots being filled by a team represented by former MLB star Dee Gordon.
There is a $2 million prize. The alumni bracket champion will meet the non-alumni bracket champion for the ultimate prize. The championship is Aug. 2.
About Cole Swider
Swider, a native of Providence, R.I., spent three years playing at Villanova before finishing out with Syracuse in 2021-22. He started 33 games with the Orange, playing more than 34 minutes a game and scoring 13.9 ppg. He pulled down 6.8 rebounds a night while also shooting 41 percent from the three-point line and 44 percent from the floor.
He stands at 6-foot-9 and should help give the 'Boeheim's Army' group some much-needed size.
He spent parts of three years in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors. He last played in 2024-25 and has averaged 3.1 ppg for his career.
About the other alumni teams
Louisville, Kentucky, Seton Hall, Kansas State, Kansas, Wichita State, New Mexico and Syracuse all have alumni teams in the field.
Our plans
Our own Tom Goslowski will be covering the games played in Syracuse. Game 2 is in Syracuse, as is Game 3, if it's necessary.

As revealed by the program's "X" account, Syracuse men's basketball will open up the season on Nov. 2 at the JMA Wireless Dome against New Haven.
A member of the NEC, New Haven is coming off a 14-17 campaign in which it went 9-9 in league play.
The Chargers were 5-11 on the road, which will bode well for the Orange, and they played a challenging non-conference schedule, so there is some level of preparedness for this game on their end.
