The TBT tournament continues and Boeheim's Army will be without some pivotal players.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- 'Boeheim's Army,' a team comprised with a mix of former Syracuse basketball players and non-SU alums, defeated 'Hall In', a team representing Seton Hall in Game 1 of a best-of-three 'TBT' series in New Jersey just two nights ago. Now that same squad will be without some impact players in Game 2 set on Thursday night in Syracuse.
The 82-52 win was a decisive showing for the Syracuse alumni, who are looking to win the title for the second time in the event's history.
Here's what you need to know:
According to Mike McAllister, 'Boeheim's Army' will be without multiple players in Thursday night's matchup including JaCorey Williams, Chris McCullough and Wes Johnson. None of those three players played on Tuesday night. Johnson, in particular, is a big loss. He's one of the players on this team with the most NBA experience, having spent nine years in the league.
Impact of those players missing
In addition to Johnson, McCullough is a 6-foot-9 forward who spent time in the NBA with both the Washington Wizards and Brooklyn Nets. Williams has played professionally for over and his 6-foot-8 frame was likely to be a strong rebounding presence for 'Boeheim's Army' in this run.
Johnson, Williams and McCullough's statuses are still uncertain going forward.
As for 'Hall In:' they will be without Myles Cale and Al-Amir.
What's next for the series?

If Syracuse wins the series, it will advance to take on the Kentucky-Louisville alumni matchup winner. The game between Syracuse and Kentucky-Louisville would be a single elimination game held on Sunday.

Remember: The 'TBT' has changed formats this year. Instead of a 60+ team field, there are just 16 teams this year. Eight of those teams are alumni teams, with eight non-alumni teams also competing. The winers from each bracket will face off in a winner-take-all for the ultimate $2 million prize.
Syracuse won the event in 2021. Eric Devendorf, a sharpshooter who was a member of that title winning team, is also on this version of 'Boeheim's Army.'
