Syracuse is partnering with WCNY-TV on "Gamechangers," a bi-weekly program featuring head coach Felisha Legette-Jack and her players.

Get ready to take an inside look at Syracuse women’s basketball team as it progresses through the season.

WCNY, Central New York's public communications organization, is partnering with Syracuse Athletics to present "Gamechangers," which debuts Thursday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. on WCNY-TV.

Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack and host Sean Dorcellus of the Syracuse athletics department will go “beyond the court to explore how championship-caliber programs are built through values, leadership, teamwork, and community,” according to a university news release.

"'Gamechangers' embodies WCNY's mission to tell stories that inspire and strengthen our community," said Mitch Gelman, WCNY president and CEO. "This partnership with Syracuse University Athletics and its dynamic women's basketball program celebrates leadership, perseverance, and teamwork — values that extend far beyond the court."

The 30-minute show will air bi-weekly throughout the season.

Five segments will be part of each show.

    • Inside the Huddle: Jack discusses recent games and highlights top players for their performances.
    • Player Profiles: Dorcellus talks with players about their personal stories and lives off the court.
    • Slice of Orange: A behind-the-scenes look at the team, its culture, recruiting and leadership development.
    • Beyond the Arc: A review of how the team is involved in the community, such as through service work.
    • The Next Play: A preview of upcoming games, plus presentation of the "Hard Hat Award" to a player who exemplifies character, academic excellence, and basketball performance.

"We're excited to partner with WCNY on 'Gamechangers' to showcase the exceptional work Coach Legette-Jack and our women's basketball program are doing on and off the court," athletic director John Wildhack said. "Our student-athletes have outstanding stories that deserve to be told, and we're grateful to WCNY for their commitment to providing an inside look at our program to the Central New York Community."

Episodes can be watched on television or streamed on demand at wcny.org/gamechangers and on PBS Passport.

The Syracuse women will host Daemen in an exhibition game Tuesday at home. The regular season begins Nov. 4 at the JMA Wireless Dome against Stony Brook.

Home games against three more New York teams — Albany, Canisius and Wagner — follow before the Orange travel to Uncasville, Conn., to face Utah and preseason No. 13 Michigan.
