The school has come up with some special ideas before to make it more affordable for fans. Could they again?
The Gerry McNamara-led Syracuse basketball season is still months away from tipping off, but some fans are already purchasing their season tickets for 2026-27.
After five consecutive years of missing the NCAA Tournament, SU fans are clamoring for a winner and an expanded NCAA Tournament field should make that easier as well.
What does the home schedule look like?
Last season, the Orange had 18 games inside the JMA Wireless Dome. Syracuse, along with all other Division 1 basketball teams, are now allowed to play 32 total regular season games. Their ACC schedule will feature 18 total game, which means nine at home. That leaves 14 non-conference games for the team to complete the schedule. Neutral floor games that have already been announced include St. John's at Madison Square Garden, Indiana at Banker's Life FieldHouse in Indianapolis and Providence in Boston.
Although Syracuse has yet to announce any dates or times for the season's upcoming games, we do at least know some more of the team's opponents.
The Orange will play a home game against the UAlbany Great Danes in non-conference action. Cornell and Colgate are likely home games as well. Syracuse has played those schools frequently before McNamara's arrival as head coach.
Other potential past New York-based schools that Syracuse has hosted in recent seasons include Hofstra, LeMoyne, Buffalo and Binghamton. SU lost to Hofstra a season ago.
How can you buy season tickets?
Earlier this week, Syracuse basketball took to X to post information on this season's ticket availability and pricing.
Ticket prices on TicketMaster for full season tickets range from $200 to $1,940, depending on where you want to sit. Fans can not yet buy individual game tickets because no dates and times have been announced.
Last season, Syracuse ranked sixth in home attendance average for college basketball schools. Although the number is impressive, according to Syracuse.com, that number is the third-lowest since the team began playing in the JMA Wireless Dome (previously known as the Carrier Dome) since 1980.
Past creative packages used for season tickets
In 2025, Syracuse University created the "Combo Pack." Fans were able to purchase tickets for all Syracuse Orange football and basketball home games for $299. Some Orange fans may remember in 2013, the first season the school competed as a member of the ACC, "The Pick Six Package". Orange fans were allowed to pick:
-One Super Premium Game
-Two Premium Games
-Three Non-conference Games
Those super premium and premium games included schools like Duke, North Carolina, Indiana and Villanova.
With the first home games still nearly four months ago, the University has yet to announce any creative packages yet for ticket seekers this year.
