Syracuse has won two consecutive games, defeating North Carolina and SMU inside ACC play.

Each week throughout the college football regular season, SyracuseRoundtable is bringing you the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) power rankings.

The rankings help give a clearer picture as to how the top teams in the conference stack up against one another. Next month, the top two teams will compete in Charlotte, N.C., not for just the conference title, but for a berth in the College Football Playoff.

With November serving as the final month of conference play, the path to an ACC title game spot, or at least a bowl game berth, is becoming clearer for all teams in the league.

This week features less league matchups, but it also offers a matchup that could sway the way voters view the ACC's teams overall.

And of course, Syracuse has won two consecutive games inside the league to change the overall landscape of the league.

No. 1 Miami

The Hurricanes are not just the top team in the ACC, but according to the AP Poll and recent College Football Playoff Ranking, they are also the No. 1 team in the country. The Hurricanes will face a tough foe this week when they take on Notre Dame. The most important storyline leading up to Saturday will be the status of wide receiver Malachi Toney. According to Anthony Aguirre of HurricanesRoundtable, Toney's status is still uncertain for the matchup against the Fighting Irish.

No. 2 Wake Forest

The Demon Deacons control their destiny for a spot in the ACC title game. If Wake Forest wins out, their one loss inside the league (against Miami), would still be enough to get to Charlotte. The Demon Deacons play a non-conference game against Merrimack before preparing for a matchup with SMU on Nov. 14.

No. 3 Louisville

The Cardinals offense has been outstanding the past three games, scoring a combined 130 points in those contests. Louisville could be the team that benefits the most from SMU's loss to Syracuse last Saturday. The Cardinals play Georgia Tech on Saturday night and still have a possibility of getting to Charlotte in December.

No. 4 SMU and No. 5 Virginia Tech

These two teams square off Friday night in what likely will serve to be an elimination game for the ACC title game. While both of these teams will finish with winning records and a bowl invitation, the loser of this game will have three total conference losses on the season. With Miami projected to win their remaining games and Wake Forest having just one loss, the loser of this game is essentially mathematically eliminated from contention.

Virginia Tech is coming off a bye.

No. 11 North Carolina State

No. 12 Boston College

No. 13 Florida State
