The Orange are inside one month until the first game of the Gerry McNamara era.

The first full week of October has proven to be a busy one for the Syracuse Orange men's basketball program.

Wednesday marked the ACC Tip-Off event in Charlotte, N.C. and SyracuseRoundTable has our three takeaways from the event.

Friday is the Syracuse media day at the Carmelo Anthony Center. And we'll be there too.

Along with the media sessions, the regular season schedule including dates, opponents and tip-off times is nearing completion for the regular season.

The action starts on Dec. 29 when Syracuse travels to take on the Florida State Seminoles.  That game will air on the ACC Network with a 6:00 p.m. ET tip-off. The rest of the conference looks like this:
