The Orange have yet to name their new coach but these matchups could impact their search.

The NCAA tournament tips off on Tuesday with two of the 'First Four' matchups in Dayton, Ohio. The 'First Four' will feature two more games the following day before the Round of 64 begins officially begins on Thursday.

Included in this year's field are multiple schools with coaches who could ultimately fill the vacancy for the Syracuse men's basketball program. After three seasons, Adrian Autry was dismissed as the school's head coach earlier this week. There are five known candidates for the SU job, and more could surface over the next few days and weeks.

Let's take a look.

Gerry McNamara and Siena

The former Syracuse player and assistant coach, McNamara led the Saints to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2010 by winning the MAAC Tournament title. They earned the No. 16 seed in the East Region and will take on No. 1 Duke, who is the overall No. 1 seed. The Blue Devils captured the ACC Tournament title on Saturday.

Bryan Hodgson and South Florida

Hodgson and his Bulls earned the No. 11 seed in the East region after winning the AAC Tournament title. They will open up tournament play in Buffalo, right down the road from Syracuse. They'll take on No. 6 Louisville out of the ACC.

Luke Murray and UConn

A longtime assistant under Dan Hurley, Murray is in his fifth season as an assistant at Connecticut. Like the two teams above, UConn will be in the East Region. They earned the No. 2 seed and will take on No. 15 Furman.

He's helped UConn make the NCAA Tournament each year in his tenure. He also has stops at Quinnipiac, Post, Arizona, Wagner, Towson, Rhode Island, Xavier and Louisville. He worked with Hurley at Wagner and Rhode Island.

Joe Gallo and Merrimack

Despite not qualifying for this year's NCAA tournament, Gallo and his team will compete in postseason play.

As winners of the MAAC regular season title, the Warriors are entitled to a spot in the NIT.

Gallo guided his team to the No. 1 seed in the MAAC Tournament this season before getting upset in the final against Siena. Gallo helped lead the Warriors through a transition from Division II to Division I and did so with much success in both levels. He's also been an assistant at Robert Morris and Dartmouth.
