TCU will have two offensive weapons at its disposal in its primetime battle against Baylor, as the Horned Frogs aim to take the next step on offense in the rivalry showdown with the Bears.
TCU is set to face one of its oldest rivals in its first game out of the bye week in a primetime showdown against Baylor in Waco.
The Horned Frogs are eyeing to get back into the win column for the first time in its last three outings and pull off an upset over the Bears in the process.
With its 2-3 record and lack of success outside of Fort Worth this season, Sonny Dykes' squad will be looking for an edge anywhere they can find it.
After concerns about the status of some key contributors, TCU got reassuring news with the release of the final injury report from the Big 12 on Saturday evening.
Two names of interest for the Horned Frogs were absent from this final update and cemented their ability to play in the nighttime outing.
Tight end Kari Ashley has emerged as a serious threat in the passing game for quarterback Jaden Craig and accounted for the lone touchdown for the Horned Frogs in their 17-10 loss to No. 8 BYU.
He was previously listed as probable, with his status remaining in question as game time drew nearer.
Wide receiver Jeremy Scott had the same questions entering the week, as the pass catcher also saw his name listed on initial reports as probable.
Scott has struggled with consistency, much like the rest of the offense for TCU, but recently tallied 80 yards against UCF to finish as the team's second-leading receiver.
Ashley and Scott being available for TCU provides another outlet for an offense looking to finally turn a corner this year.
To say the Horned Frogs have been underwhelming in that area would be an understatement.
Led by Craig, TCU has scored just three touchdowns against opponents not named Grambling State or Arkansas State.
While he is not fully to blame for the faults, Craig is near 1,500 passing yards on the season but has failed to find the end zone, with eight touchdowns through five games alongside four interceptions.
If TCU cannot get the offensive woes figured out against its bitter rival, it will not be because the Horned Frogs do not have the pieces needed to do so.
But it will take much more than presence from Ashley, Scott, Craig and anyone other Horned Frogs on the offensive front to be able to hang with Baylor.
The Bears are off a 55-point clinic over Arizona State in Tempe and have been rounding into form with first-year start DJ Lagway under center.
TCU heads into the hostile environment of McLane Stadium to take on Baylor on Saturday night at 6 p.m. "The Revivalry" between the Horned Frogs and Bears will be televised on FS1.
