Raiders receiver Jack Bech transformed his milestone score into a touching tribute, honoring his brother’s memory with a heartfelt celebration during Las Vegas' season-opening victory.
Jack Bech’s first NFL touchdown was about much more than football.
The former TCU wide receiver found the end zone for the first time in his NFL career during the Las Vegas Raiders’ season-opening victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, but his celebration quickly made clear who was on his mind.
After catching a 15-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins, Bech got up and made a hand gesture before pointing toward the sky. He then held the football and delivered a simple message: "I love you, Tiger."
The moment was a tribute to Bech’s older brother, Martin 'Tiger' Bech, who was among the 14 people killed in the New Orleans truck attack on New Year’s Day in 2025. Tiger was 27 years old and had also played college football, spending his career at Princeton.
Tiger’s presence has remained an important part of Jack’s football journey. When the Raiders selected Bech in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, he spoke about how reaching the NFL represented a dream shared by both brothers.
That connection has continued throughout Bech’s professional career.
Bech wore a thigh pad featuring Tiger’s initials during Sunday’s game and later wore a shirt reading "Long Live Tiger" following the Raiders’ 27-13 victory. He explained that he tries to commemorate his brother every game while recognizing the role Tiger continues to play in his life.
For TCU fans, the moment carried additional significance because of everything Bech accomplished in Fort Worth.
After beginning his college career at LSU, Bech transferred to TCU and broke out during his senior season in 2024. He caught 62 passes for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns, becoming just the fifth receiver in program history to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a season.
The Raiders ultimately selected him No. 58 overall, and Bech spent his rookie season adjusting to the NFL. He finished 2025 with 20 receptions for 224 yards without a touchdown.
His first touchdown finally came in Week 1 of his second season, and it arrived in a moment that carried far more meaning than the six points it put on the scoreboard.
Bech finished the game with three catches for 23 yards and the touchdown as the Raiders opened their season with a win. More importantly, he found a way to honor the brother who has remained a constant part of his journey from TCU to the NFL.
For Bech, his first NFL touchdown belonged to Tiger, too.
