As Las Vegas battles a four-game skid, the second-year receiver returns to practice from injured reserve, offering a much-needed spark for an offense seeking rhythm and consistency.

The Las Vegas Raiders are preparing for a potential boost to their receiving corps, with former TCU standout Jack Bech taking an important step toward returning to the field.

Las Vegas designated Bech to return from injured reserve on Monday, opening a 21-day window for the second-year wide receiver to practice with the team and work toward a possible return to the active roster. The development comes as the Raiders look to get their season back on track following four consecutive losses.

Bech has been sidelined since suffering a broken forearm during Las Vegas' Week 3 victory over the New Orleans Saints. The injury forced him onto injured reserve on Sept. 29, interrupting what had been a promising start to his second NFL season.

Before going down, Bech recorded five receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown on six targets across three games. While those numbers don't tell the entire story of his potential, his early involvement suggested he could become a useful piece of the Raiders' passing attack.

The 2025 second-round selection previously showed his ability to contribute as a rookie, finishing his first NFL season with 20 catches for 224 yards. Now, the priority will be getting healthy and regaining his place in an offense that has struggled to find consistency in recent weeks.

Bech's potential return also comes at an important time for Las Vegas. The Raiders fell to 3-4 after Sunday's 35-21 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, extending their losing streak to four games after beginning the season with three consecutive victories.

The team has also faced questions about its offensive direction, including speculation about whether rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza could eventually replace veteran Kirk Cousins as the starter. Head coach Klint Kubiak confirmed Monday that Cousins would remain under center against the New York Jets.

Getting additional receiving options back could help the Raiders improve their offensive production, although Bech will first need to demonstrate that he is ready to return from his injury.

Las Vegas has 21 days to decide whether to activate Bech to the 53-man roster. If he isn't activated during that period, he would have to remain on injured reserve for the rest of the season.

For the former TCU receiver, the coming practices will provide an opportunity to rebuild his momentum after an injury halted his progress. If he can return to full health, Bech could give the Raiders another option as they attempt to end their losing streak and get their season moving in the right direction.
