No. 15 TCU women's basketball overwhelms Le Moyne 96-41 behind Lara Somfai's 19 points, extending its historic home winning streak to 46 consecutive games.
TCU women's basketball isn't just winning games at Schollmaier Arena anymore. The Horned Frogs are making life downright miserable for visiting opponents.
No. 15 TCU delivered another overwhelming performance Thursday night, crushing Le Moyne 96-41 to extend the nation's longest active home winning streak to 46 games.
Sophomore Lara Somfai led the way with 19 points, matching her career high, as the Horned Frogs improved to 2-0 under head coach Mark Campbell.
But the final score doesn't tell the entire story of how thoroughly TCU took control.
The Horned Frogs actually trailed for much of the opening quarter before entering the second tied 17-17. What followed was a complete demolition.
TCU outscored Le Moyne 28-10 in the second quarter, then delivered a defensive performance that bordered on ridiculous after halftime.
The Dolphins managed just two points in the third quarter, when TCU finished with 21 unanswered points. The Horned Frogs ultimately dominated the second half 51-14.
And they did it with contributions throughout the lineup.
Jadyn Wooten finished with 16 points and five assists without committing a turnover.
Freshman Laura Vilcinskas needed only 13 minutes to produce 13 points and 10 rebounds, becoming TCU's first freshman in nearly a decade to record a double-double with at least 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Lanie Grant and Jessie-May Hall added 11 points apiece, giving TCU five double-digit scorers.
The Horned Frogs' offensive efficiency was equally impressive.
TCU recorded 22 assists against just five turnovers, producing an outstanding 4.4 assist-to-turnover ratio.
The Horned Frogs also controlled the boards 42-27 and received 38 points from their bench.
Gianna Nichols led Le Moyne (0-2) with 11 points.
For Campbell, the victory represents another chapter in one of college basketball's most remarkable home-court runs.
TCU hasn't lost at Schollmaier Arena since February 13, 2024. The program has now opened its season with consecutive victories by at least 55 points for the first time.
Tuesday's 99-43 victory over Oral Roberts and Thursday's dismantling of Le Moyne suggest the Horned Frogs haven't lost their appetite for dominating opponents.
Of course, tougher competition awaits. But TCU is showing the defensive intensity, depth and offensive balance needed to remain a serious Big 12 contender.
The Horned Frogs return Sunday to host Tarleton State at 2 p.m. Central on ESPN+.
A victory would push the home streak to 47 games and carry TCU past another remarkable milestone: 1,000 days without a home loss.
For now, Schollmaier Arena remains one of the toughest places in America for visiting teams to win.
