TCU basketball announces national TV dates against Texas Tech, Baylor and Oklahoma State as Jamie Dixon prepares the Horned Frogs for another NCAA Tournament push.

FORT WORTH, Texas — TCU basketball will have several opportunities to make a national statement during the 2026-27 Big 12 season, including two high-profile rivalry games in Fort Worth.

The Horned Frogs announced Thursday that three conference matchups will be televised nationally on TNT and TruTV, giving Jamie Dixon's program additional exposure during what promises to be another demanding Big 12 campaign.

TCU's January 9 home showdown against Texas Tech will tip off at 1 p.m. CT on TNT, while the January 19 meeting with longtime rival Baylor is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. CT on TruTV.

The Horned Frogs will also appear on TNT when they visit Oklahoma State on January 23 for a 3 p.m. CT contest.

All three games carry significant implications for a TCU program attempting to build on one of its strongest conference seasons.

Last year, the Horned Frogs finished 11-7 in Big 12 competition, establishing a program record for conference victories and securing sixth place in one of college basketball's toughest leagues.

TCU finished 23-12 overall after reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament, defeating Ohio State 66-64 before falling to top-seeded Duke.

Now, Dixon faces a different challenge.

Entering his 11th season leading the Horned Frogs, the veteran coach must rebuild a roster featuring 10 newcomers and only five returning players.

That's considerable turnover for a program that has reached the NCAA Tournament four times in the past five seasons.

The national television dates also highlight the growing importance of TCU's regional rivalries.

Texas Tech has established itself as a consistent Big 12 contender, while Baylor remains one of the conference's most recognizable basketball programs.

Both will visit Schollmaier Arena during a critical January stretch that could help shape the conference standings.

TCU opens Big 12 play January 2 at Houston before welcoming Arizona State on January 5.

And with another challenging league schedule ahead, the Horned Frogs know reputation alone won't win games.

The expectation under Dixon is clear: Compete for the postseason, challenge the Big 12's elite and prove last season's breakthrough was no fluke.

As Dixon has emphasized throughout his tenure, the goal is to build a program capable of competing at the highest level.

For TCU, the national spotlight is returning. Now the Horned Frogs must deliver.
