TCU basketball outlasted Ohio State in a March Madness nail-biter as Micah Robinson, David Punch, and Xavier Edmonds delivered in clutch moments.

TCU basketball did what tough March teams do: it bent, looked rattled, and still found a way to win.

The Horned Frogs escaped Ohio State with a 66-64 NCAA Tournament victory that felt far more chaotic than the final score suggested.

TCU built control early, nearly gave it all away late, then slammed the door just enough to keep dancing. In a bracket built on pressure, physicality, and nerve, the Frogs showed all three.

The biggest reason was the inside-out punch that carried them for long stretches.

David Punch and Xavier Edmonds were monsters around the rim, combining for 32 points, 21 rebounds, and 6 assists. Punch finished with 16 points, 13 boards, and 3 assists, while Edmonds matched him with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. That duo gave TCU the kind of muscle Ohio State never fully solved.

Then came Micah Robinson, who picked the perfect time to deliver his best punch of the season. Robinson scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds, drilling 4 of 6 from deep.

His late 3-pointer changed the flow of the game and gave TCU the jolt it desperately needed when momentum was slipping.

TCU’s first half was sharp, aggressive, and confident.

The Frogs knocked down seven first-half threes and stretched the floor in a way that forced Ohio State out of rhythm. Brock Harding added 8 points, and the backcourt pressure helped make life miserable for the Buckeyes.

Even when Ohio State made its push behind John Mobley Jr., TCU kept answering.

And now, after another classic finish, TCU basketball moves on with confidence, toughness, and a style no contender will enjoy facing in the next round.
