TCU will open the 2026 Players Era Men’s Championship against Miami, with Creighton or Michigan waiting next in Las Vegas.
TCU basketball just got a November measuring stick with some real bite.
The Horned Frogs will face Miami in the opening round of the 2026 Players Era Men’s Championship on Nov. 24 in Las Vegas, giving TCU an early-season test inside one of the sport’s most loaded showcase events.
It’s not March, but this bracket has March energy all over it.
TCU and Miami have met only once before, and the Frogs owned that matchup, winning 82-59 on Dec. 12, 1966, in the Birmingham Classic.
A lot has changed since then, obviously, but the reset gives TCU a clean national-stage opportunity against an ACC opponent.
The winner of TCU-Miami will move on to face either Creighton or Michigan on Nov. 26. That’s not exactly a soft landing.
Creighton has been a consistent postseason threat, and Michigan brings major-brand pressure every time it steps on the floor.
TCU’s side of the bracket is nasty.
Gonzaga opens against Kansas State, while Baylor faces Alabama in another heavyweight first-round matchup.
The other eight-team bracket includes Tennessee vs. Maryland, San Diego State vs. Iowa State, St. John’s vs. Oregon and Louisville vs. Texas Tech.
In other words, there won’t be many empty-calorie wins available in Vegas.
The Players Era 16 runs Nov. 24-28, with most games at T-Mobile Arena.
The championship game will be played Nov. 28 at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
Every game will air across ESPN platforms as part of Players Era’s broadcast agreement with the network.
For TCU, this is more than a tournament trip. It’s an early resume builder, a recruiting-stage showcase and a chance to find out quickly what kind of team the Frogs have before conference play heats up.

A win over Miami would instantly raise the stakes. A follow-up shot at Creighton or Michigan would raise them again.
Vegas won’t be forgiving. That’s exactly why this draw matters.
