TCU men’s golf takes second at the DeSimone Invitational behind strong play from freshmen Nathan Miller and Sam Udovich as the Horned Frogs stay red hot.

The TCU men’s golf team continues to prove it belongs among the nation’s elite after finishing second at the DeSimone Invitational at Lake Merced Golf Club.

The Horned Frogs shot 19-under 845, marking their fourth straight tournament finishing inside the top three, a streak that signals serious momentum heading deeper into the spring season.

Only No. 9 Arizona State, which dominated the field at 39-under, finished ahead of TCU. The Horned Frogs also delivered an impressive statement by finishing ahead of several national powers, including No. 4 Texas and No. 10 Pepperdine, along with multiple other top-30 programs.

TCU’s lineup once again leaned on its rising young talent.

Freshmen Nathan Miller and Sam Udovich paced the Horned Frogs, each finishing 3-under par (213) for the tournament.

The duo tied for 20th place and continued their strong freshman campaigns with their third top-20 finish of the season.

Just behind them was Jack Beauchamp, who finished 2-under par (214) and tied for 28th place after putting together another consistent three-round performance.

Toby Wilt delivered the team’s best round on the final day, firing a 2-under 70. Wilt finished the event 1-over par (217), good for a tie for 38th place.

The Horned Frogs finished the tournament with rounds of 273, 281, and 291, staying well below par despite tough competition across the leaderboard.

The event featured multiple nationally ranked teams, making TCU’s runner-up finish even more impressive.

Arizona State ultimately captured the team title, but TCU proved it could go toe-to-toe with the best programs in the country.

With momentum building and a lineup featuring both experienced players and talented freshmen, the Horned Frogs look like a team capable of making serious noise this spring.

TCU will now head back to the West Coast later this month to compete in The Goodwin at Stanford, scheduled for March 26–28, where the Horned Frogs will look to continue their red-hot run.
