TCU baseball added Oregon transfer Collin Clarke, a veteran right-hander with 151 career strikeouts and one year of eligibility left.
TCU baseball just added more firepower to its transfer portal haul, and this one brings real innings, real experience and plenty of swing-and-miss upside.
Oregon transfer pitcher Collin Clarke is reportedly headed to Fort Worth, giving the Horned Frogs another veteran arm as they continue rebuilding and reloading their staff.
The move comes on the same day TCU reportedly added Tennessee freshman left-hander Taylor Tracey, making it a big-time portal push for a program that clearly isn’t messing around.
Clarke, a 6-3, 205-pound right-hander from Irvine, California, went 6-3 for Oregon this season with a 4.92 ERA.
The numbers weren’t spotless, but the workload matters. He threw 78.2 innings, struck out 77 hitters and walked only 20 while appearing in 18 games with 13 starts.
That’s the kind of arm TCU can plug into a weekend mix, stretch as a starter or use as a high-leverage veteran piece depending on how the rest of the roster shakes out.
For his college career, Clarke owns an 11-5 record with a 4.96 ERA across three seasons at Oregon.
He made 44 appearances, including 27 starts, and totaled 151 strikeouts against 45 walks. Opposing hitters batted .262 against him.
According to 64 Analytics, Clarke is ranked as the No. 38 overall transfer and No. 8 pitcher in the portal this cycle.
TCU now reportedly owns the No. 8 portal class nationally, another sign that the Frogs are attacking this offseason with urgency.
Before Oregon, Clarke built a strong prep resume at Santa Margarita Catholic in California.
He went 15-5 with a 2.08 ERA, 130 strikeouts and just 22 walks over 131.1 innings. He also held hitters to a .232 average and tossed five complete games.
TCU isn’t just collecting names. It’s stacking arms. And with Clarke now in the mix, the Horned Frogs’ pitching room suddenly looks a lot more dangerous.
