Kirstin Angosta earned All-Big 12 Tournament honors as TCU finished eighth at the Big 12 Championship in Dallas.
TCU women’s golf closed the regular season with an eighth-place finish at the Big 12 Championship, but Kirstin Angosta gave the Horned Frogs a major individual highlight at Dallas Athletic Club.
Angosta tied for 10th at 1-over 217, earning All-Big 12 Tournament honors. She became the seventh TCU golfer to receive the recognition and the second Horned Frog in as many seasons to do it.
Angosta entered Saturday tied for fifth and just two shots off the lead after opening with rounds of 75 and 67. She finished with a final-round 75, securing her sixth career top-10 finish and first of the season. She has now placed inside the top 25 in four of her last five starts.
TCU finished at 23-over 887 after rounds of 296, 292 and 299. The Horned Frogs briefly climbed as high as sixth during the final round after collecting 14 birdies, but a rough finish on No. 18 cost them eight combined strokes and dropped them two spots.
Freshman Yvette O’Brien delivered the surprise performance of the day. Pressed into action after 2025 All-American Camille Min-Gaultier withdrew with a back injury, O’Brien fired TCU’s best final round with a 2-under 70.
She made four birdies in five holes after the turn, including three straight from Nos. 13-15.
Sofia Barroso Sá finished 28th at 6-over 222, while Gracie McGovern tied for 47th at 12-over 228.
TCU still finished ahead of No. 29 Arizona, No. 37 Kansas and No. 38 Kansas State.
