The TCU junior finished alone in second place at 6-under 204, earning the individual qualifying spot reserved for the top player from a non-advancing team.
That sends Angosta to the NCAA National Championships, scheduled for May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
The Coppell, Texas, native becomes the second TCU golfer in as many seasons to reach the NCAA final site.
Angosta started the final round tied for fifth and three shots off the lead, then quickly made her move. She birdied the fourth and fifth holes, added another birdie on the par-5 ninth and made the turn in 3-under 32.
By then, she had climbed into a tie for second and put herself directly in the national qualifying race.
The closing stretch brought real pressure. Angosta was tied with Oregon’s Kiara Romero, the world’s No. 1 amateur, for the final individual NCAA Championship spot with three holes left.
Angosta answered with a birdie on No. 16, then made back-to-back pars to secure the bid.
Her 204 total set TCU program records for low 54-hole score, low 54-hole score vs. par and low 18-hole score vs. par. It also marked a collegiate personal best.
TCU finished eighth as a team at 14-over 854, seven shots behind the cut line. The Frogs closed with a 3-over 283, but a 15-over opening round proved too much to overcome.
For Angosta, though, the postseason continues — and she’s heading to La Costa with momentum.
