If this prediction comes true, Olivia Miles could be TCU's first top overall pick in nearly a century.

Former TCU lineman Ki Aldrich is credited as the only Horned Frog to be drafted No. 1 overall in their respective sport's professional draft after playing collegiately in Fort Worth. Aldrich was picked first overall by the Chicago Cardinals in the 1939 NFL Draft.

If ESPN's latest prediction for the 2026 WNBA Draft comes true, Aldrich could have company 87 years later.

TCU point guard Olivia Miles spearheaded another fantastic season for Mark Campbell's Horned Frogs, and now she is projected as the potential No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft by the nearby Dallas Wings.

ESPN women's college basketball reporter Michael Voepel labels Miles' court vision "elite" and no statistic is more representative of her complete impact than the six triple-doubles she recorded in her lone season with the Frogs.

TCU won the Big 12 title and reached its second straight Sweet 16 largely off of Miles' season averages of 19.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.6 assists. She took home conference player of the year honors, as well, before raising each of her averages in the NCAA tournament run.

"Miles projected as a lottery pick last season when she was eligible age-wise for the draft. Instead, she transferred to TCU from Notre Dame for her final college season in hopes of being an even more polished pro prospect," Voepel recalls.

With the Wings on the clock for the second straight season, however, some might call into question how a point guard like Miles may fit with last year's top pick, Paige Bueckers, who won Rookie of the Year honors after an All-Star campaign for the Wings.

Dallas' free agent scoring guard Arike Ogunbowale could also be testing the waters elsewhere, as well, but Voepel says Miles' well-rounded arsenal bodes well for her ability to adapt to any type of personnel. That means a potential backcourt of Miles, Bueckers and Ogunbowale could be one of the W's most lethal threats.

Regardless of Miles' landing spot, she will be set to reap the benefits a groundbreaking CBA development by the WNBA, where each team's salary cap was raised from $1.5 million to $7 million.

Reports indicate that the No. 1 draft pick expects to command a $500,000 rookie contract.
