TCU has 29 former Horned Frogs attached to NFL teams entering 2026, led by Tre’von Moehrig, Quentin Johnston, Steve Avila and KaVontae Turpin.

TCU football will have a sizable NFL footprint when the 2026 season gets underway, with 29 former Horned Frogs currently attached to league rosters.

That total includes players on active rosters, practice squads and reserve lists, and it gives TCU another strong recruiting talking point as Sonny Dykes continues trying to keep the program competitive nationally.

Several former Horned Frogs have already carved out significant NFL roles.

Tre’von Moehrig is starting in Carolina’s secondary, while Steve Avila remains a key piece of the Los Angeles Rams’ offensive line. With the Chargers, Quentin Johnston and Derius Davis continue to give TCU a strong presence in the passing and return games.

Dallas also features multiple former Horned Frogs.

KaVontae Turpin remains one of the NFL’s most dangerous return specialists and also contributes at wide receiver. He’s joined by Emari Demercado and linebacker Dee Winters, while tight end DJ Rogers is on a reserve designation.

TCU’s NFL reach extends across both sides of the ball.

Josh Newton is with Cincinnati, L.J. Collier is in Arizona and Dylan Horton remains with Houston. Garret Wallowis with San Francisco, while Brandon Coleman is part of Washington’s offensive line group.

There’s also a notable group of recent offensive players.

Jack Bech is with the Las Vegas Raiders, Kendre Miller remains in New Orleans and Jared Wiley is with Kansas City. Former TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor is continuing his NFL career on Miami’s practice squad.

At quarterback, veteran Andy Dalton gives TCU one of its longest-tenured NFL representatives as he begins the season with Philadelphia.

Not every former Horned Frog is on a 53-man active roster.

Matt Pryor, JP Richardson, Drake Dabney and Reagor are among the players currently on practice squads, while Savion Williams, Bud Clark and Horton are on reserve designations.

The exact number can shift quickly during Week 1 as teams make waiver claims, practice-squad moves and injured-reserve transactions.

But the bigger picture is clear.

TCU continues to send players to the NFL in meaningful numbers, with former Horned Frogs spread across nearly every position group.

For a program competing in one of college football’s deepest recruiting regions, having 29 players tied to NFL organizations is another piece of evidence that Fort Worth remains a legitimate path to Sundays.
