For TCU, it was a statement night.
Marta Suarez and Olivia Miles both became top-20 picks, putting the Horned Frogs in rare company nationally. It also continued a remarkable run for the program, which has now produced four WNBA Draft selections from transfer additions over the last year.
That kind of turnaround says plenty about what TCU has built.
Suarez earned this moment with a huge final college season in Fort Worth. The 6-foot-3 Spaniard averaged a career-best 17.1 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 45 percent from the floor and 37 percent from 3-point range.
Down the stretch, she was even better, raising her scoring average to 20.2 points over her last 12 starts as TCU made another deep postseason push.
Her all-around production made her one of the most intriguing forwards in the 2026 WNBA Draft class. Suarez finished the year with 648 points and 280 rebounds, and her 84 made 3-pointers set a Big 12 single-season record for a post player.
She also ended the season among the national leaders in perimeter efficiency for players her size, a skill that should translate well to the WNBA.
Suarez’s one-year impact at TCU was massive. She finished in the top tier of multiple single-season program records, earned unanimous All-Big 12 First Team honors, and added Associated Press honorable mention All-America recognition.
Now, her next chapter begins with the Valkyries, where her size, shooting touch and versatility could make her an immediate player to watch.
