Internal turmoil and a players-only meeting shadow the Horned Frogs as they host BYU, fighting to save their season and silence rumors surrounding Sonny Dykes' future.

BYU comes to Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth in a game on the college football Week 5 schedule that comes on the heels of a Horned Frogs team meeting. ...

And that's pretty much never good.

BYU is favored to win by 6.5 points against TCU, according to the oddsmakers who may have some concerns for the home team beyond just the X's and the O's.

The Frogs are an even 2-2, but one of those losses was the Big 12 opener against UCF, which puts this team in a hole.

And maybe puts coach Sonny Dykes' future in doubt.

How deep is the concern? Deep enough for the fellas to have staged a "players-only meeting.''

“I think that those guys took initiative, you know, they felt the same things,” Dykes told reporters this week when speaking on the players-only session. “They felt like we haven’t performed as well as we need to. We obviously did not need to point that out to them, our guys are highly invested."

According to major sports books, the Cougars are -250 on the moneyline, while the Horned Frogs are +200. The over/under (point total) for the game is set at 48.5 points.

Even if TCU is "highly invested,'' we are talking about a matchup against a top-10 BYU club that is among the conference favorites.
