No. 4 Tennessee picked up an 8-0 midweek win over Tennessee Tech in walk-off run-rule fashion Tuesday night at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
Erin Nuwer tossed her third career no-hitter and her second of the season. The sophomore's performance goes down as the 65th no-hitter in Lady Vol history. The East Aurora, New York, native earned her 12th win of the season while striking out three batters across six innings of work.
The duo of Maddi Rutan and Alannah Leach logged home runs to solidify Tennessee's victory.
Sophia Knight and Emma Clarke each finished two-for-three, while the trio of Clarke, Meredith Barnhart and Saviya Morgan combined for four doubles on the night.
