Accordinag to reports from several news organizations, Tennessee women's basketball recruit Oliviyah Edwards has asked the university for a release from her letter of intent.

The 6-foot-3 Edwards is the No. 2 recruit in the country. She chose Tennessee over South Carolina, USC, LSU, Florida and Washington.

After the Lady Vols' 16-14 season, which ended with an eight-game losing streak, the program lost two assistant coaches, four players who exhausted their eligibility and seven who have entered the transfer portal.

That leaves Jada Civil, who just finished her freshman season, and Gabby Minus, who was the other recruit with Edwards. Minus was listed as a four-star recruit.
