Michael Hunter wasn't in Knoxville long enough to get a tour of the Sunsphere.
Now, he'll have to learn what Los Angeles is all about.
Hunter, who had been the cornerbacks coach for Ohio State's football team in 2024-25, was brought to Tennessee to handle the same position under new defensive coordinator Jim Knowles. Hunter and Knowles brought a national championship to Columbus in 2024.
Hunter was barely around long enough to figure out if Ty Richmond was the real deal when the Los Angeles Rams offered him the opportunity to be defensive coordinator.
That means Knowles and head coach Josh Heupel are back to looking to fill the position before spring practice begins in mid-March.
