Tennessee men's golfer Lance Simpson was one of the 25 golfers in the nation to be named to the 2025 Fred Haskins Award Final Fall Watch List.
The joint announcement was made today by Brian Stubbs, Executive Director of the Fred Haskins Foundation, Golfweek, and Golf Channel.
The Fred Haskins award recognizes the most outstanding male NCAA Division I college golfer for the 2025-2026 season. The list includes nine seniors, 13 juniors and three sophomores.
Simpson enters the spring with a team-leading 70.08 season stroke average and eight rounds of par or better while also registering three top-ten finishes.
His best outing of the fall came at the Fighting Irish Classic, where he was UT's highest finisher after tying for first.
Additionally, the Knoxville native is currently the No. 24 amateur in the world, coming off a strong fall season. The redshirt-senior is also currently No. 9 on the PGA TOUR University rankings.
Simpson and the rest of the Vols are set to begin back in the spring at the Puerto Rico Classic in February.
