KC Concepcion, Cashius Howell and a loaded Aggies core are turning NFL draft hype into CFP reality.

With Texas A&M football gearing up for its first-ever College Football Playoff appearance, the buzz in Aggieland isn't just about the bracket; it's about the sheer amount of NFL talent wearing Maroon and White.

For the first time in a long time, the Aggies don't just look like a tough out in the playoff; they look like a future draft factory.

Championship teams are usually built on rosters stacked with pros-in-waiting.

Think 2019 LSU, where Joe Burrow and his receivers went from Baton Rouge legends to NFL megastars with monster contracts. Texas A&M is finally creeping into that territory, with a roster loaded on both sides of the ball and a staff capable of maximizing that talent.

The difference in 2025 is that A&M isn't just sending one or two guys into the league ... it's building a pipeline.

At the top of that list is wide receiver KC Concepcion, who has completely revitalized an A&M passing game that's been stuck in the mud for over a decade.

His explosiveness, reliability, and playmaking in space have vaulted him into early-round 2026 NFL Draft chatter, with many analysts projecting him as a first- or second-round pick.

On defense, Cashius Howell has become the tone-setter this program has desperately needed.

Leading the SEC in sacks with 11.5 and earning consensus All-American and SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors, Howell has wrecked game plans all season. His breakout campaign has launched his draft stock into the same early-round conversation as Concepcion, giving A&M a true star on each side of the ball.

But the potential draft haul doesn’t stop there.

Offensive tackle Trey Zuhn III has held it down in the trenches, anchoring an offensive line that's given this offense the platform it needed to finally open up. Linebacker Taurean York has flown around the field and emerged as a defensive leader, embodying the physical, aggressive identity this new Aggie era is trying to cement.

For years, Aggies fans have watched elite talent pass through College Station without the development and results to match.

This season feels different. Now, A&M has both the players and the coaching to turn potential into production - in the Playoff, and soon, on NFL Sundays. This 2025-26 run might be more than a breakthrough season ... it might be the beginning of a new Aggies standard.
