Texas A&M is in full-blown offensive heater mode, and Sunday's game was yet another example of a team finding its rhythm and flexing its depth at exactly the right time.
The Aggies didn't just beat East Texas A&M, they detonated.
Buzz Williams' squad hung 118 points in a 118-77 blowout, marking the third-highest scoring output in program history and continuing a season defined by fireworks.
It wasn’t even the most they've put up this season. That honor remains the 120-point outburst against Mississippi Valley State on November 25, the record-setter for Reed Arena. Five games with 100-plus already? This team is cooking.
Rashaun Agee set the tone early and never cooled off.
He scored the Aggies' first eight points and finished with a season-high 21 points and eight rebounds, showcasing a physical presence that East Texas A&M simply couldn't match. When he wasn't punishing defenders inside, Texas A&M's perimeter players were doing their own damage.
Pop Isaacs dropped 15 points, Marcus Hill added 13, and Mackenzie Mgbako put up 12 points while nearly posting a double-double with nine rebounds.
The Aggies shared the wealth, found open looks, and executed in the half-court and transition without forcing shots.
And the numbers? They're ridiculous.
Texas A&M shot 65 percent from the field, blistered the nets from three, hitting 14-of-28, and kept the offensive pressure rolling from tip to buzzer. It was balanced, it was efficient, and it was relentless. The ball didn't stick, shooters were confident, and cutters feasted.
Defensively, the Aggies weren't perfect as Ronnie Harrison put up 23 to lead the Lions, but they didn't need perfection.
They simply needed sustained pace and energy, and they got it. East Texas A&M shot just 35 percent, struggling to keep up after the Aggies exploded to a double-digit lead early. By halftime, it was 56-36, and the second half never dipped below comfortable territory. The lead peaked at 44. Garbage time came early.
Now sitting at 9-3, Texas A&M returns home for Prairie View on December 29 with momentum, swagger, and a reputation ... if you don't guard, they'll run you off the court. And if you do guard?
They might still drop 100 on you anyway.
