Texas A&M Sets Maroon & White Game Date at Kyle Field cover image

Texas A&M will hold its 2026 Maroon & White Game on April 18 at 1 p.m. CT as Mike Elko begins spring football with 42 newcomers.

Texas A&M football fans can circle April 18 in bold. The Aggies announced that their annual Maroon & White Game will kick off at 1 p.m. CT inside Kyle Field, wrapping up spring practice with a public intrasquad scrimmage.

Admission will be free, with additional details on parking and fan events expected in the coming weeks.

The spring showcase will serve as the 15th and final practice of the offseason, capping a stretch that begins March 20.

A&M’s practice slate runs through mid-April with sessions scattered across March 22, 24, 26, 28 and 31, before continuing into April with multiple workouts leading up to the spring finale.

Head coach Mike Elko enters his third spring in College Station riding momentum from an 11-2 campaign in 2025, including a 7-1 run through SEC play.

But this spring won’t look the same.

The Aggies are replacing 15 starters and 20 additional scholarship players from last season’s roster. Twenty-one players exhausted eligibility, 11 entered the transfer portal, and three juniors declared early for the 2026 NFL Draft.

That turnover sets the stage for one of the most important developmental springs in recent memory. Fortunately for A&M, reinforcements have already arrived.

A total of 42 scholarship newcomers - 25 freshmen from the 2026 signing class and 17 transfers - are on campus and participating in spring workouts. The only freshman not yet in College Station is four-star tight end Evan Jacobson, who is expected to enroll in June.

Spring football will offer the first extended look at how Elko and his staff plan to reshape the Aggies’ depth chart before the 2026 season opener against Missouri State on Sept. 5 at Kyle Field.

For Texas A&M, April 18 won’t just be a scrimmage. It’ll be the first real glimpse of what’s next.
