Texas A&M women’s basketball controlled Arkansas from the opening tip and never looked back, cruising to a 78-57 SEC victory for its third straight conference win.
The Aggies (12-11, 5-9 SEC) are suddenly playing their best basketball of the season - and doing it with balance, swagger and a star running the show.
That star was Ny’Ceara Pryor. Pryor stuffed the stat sheet with 16 points, 12 assists, six rebounds and three steals, marking her third consecutive double-double in points and assists - a feat not seen in SEC play since 2009.
She dictated tempo all afternoon, carving up the Razorbacks’ defense and finding shooters in rhythm.
Fatmata Janneh matched the energy inside, posting 11 points and 13 rebounds.
The Pryor-Janneh duo has now recorded three straight double-doubles together, giving head coach Joni Taylor a dependable inside-out foundation.
The Aggies wasted no time seizing control. Janneh scored seven early points to spark a 13-5 start, and Jordan Webster extended the lead in the second quarter with back-to-back 3-pointers.
By halftime, Texas A&M led by double digits and had Arkansas scrambling. But the knockout punch came in the third quarter.
Texas A&M erupted, shooting nearly 79 percent from the field in the period. Pryor and Webster knocked down triples, Lauren Ware added five quick points, and Salese Blow poured in eight points on a perfect shooting stretch.
The lead ballooned to 63-43 entering the fourth, and the Razorbacks never threatened.
Five Aggies reached double figures - Pryor (16), Janneh (11), Webster (11), Ware (11) and Blow (10) - the first time Texas A&M has achieved that in SEC play this season.
The Aggies also improved to 8-0 when shooting at least 40 percent from the floor and have now won three straight conference games for the first time since 2022.
With one home game remaining before the SEC Tournament, Texas A&M appears to be peaking at the right time — playing fast, sharing the ball and defending with purpose.
Senior Day delivered memories. It also delivered momentum.
