How to Watch Aggies' Longhorns Tune-Up Against Samford

The No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies are steamrolling toward a College Football Playoff first-round bye, boasting a perfect 10-0 record after navigating a grueling SEC slate with flawless execution that included an unlikely comeback against South Carolina on Saturday.

Now, they'll turn their attention to a final, much-needed non-conference matchup before the season-ending rivalry game with the Texas Longhorns.

Texas A&M will host the Samford Bulldogs on Saturday in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

Aggies head coach Mike Elko is in his second season with an 18-5 record since taking over after the firing of his old boss, Jimbo Fisher.

Elko has already exceeded the win total from last year, when A&M posted a disappointing 8-5 mark, missing the SEC title game after a promising start to the season.

The visiting Bulldogs will wrap up their season on Saturday with the FCS schedule ending a week earlier than the FBS, but are in somewhat of a state of flux.

They recently fired their head coach and are led by interim Scot Sloan, a former Clemson defensive back, and this weekend will be just his second game at the helm.

Samford's season has been difficult with its offense ranking last in the Southern Conference in scoring and rushing, averaging just 15.9 points and 72.6 rushing yards per game.

The Bulldogs' passing attack ranks third in the conference at 287.2 yards per matchup.

Samford will receive a whopping $550,000 for making the trip from Homeward, Alabama to College Station on Saturday.
