Texas A&M's Cashius Howell is assuredly headed to the NFL and the standout Aggie seems to have one place he'd prefer to end up.
Draft day is finally here, as several of the best college prospects are prepared to make the jump to the NFL. One of these touted talents hails from College Station, with Texas A&M defensive end Cashius Howell eyeing the professional league.
While several teams have showcased interest in the Aggies star defender, there is one team that Howell has also shared his affinity for.
During an April 21 stop on Kay Adams' "Up & Adams" show, Howell lauded praise onto the NFL's defending champions, the Seattle Seahawks, after taking a top-30 visit to their facility.
"It was great. The facilities, everything was so beautiful up there in Seattle. The coaching staff did a great job of welcoming me with open arms and really just kind of giving me the lay of the land, telling me what they expect me to do within the defense if they were to draft me," gushed Howell.

"It was a great visit. I got to meet a lot of great staff members and great players. So, like I said, I definitely feel like it would be a great fit to go play for the Seattle Seahawks," he continued.
Of course any prospect would love to play for the team that just captured the Super Bowl, but it seems that Howell's feelings for the Seahawks goes beyond simply their recent success. And Seattle would assuredly be more than happy to have Howell's talents at their disposal.
Obviously, Seattle is more than competent on the defensive side, again it just won the Super Bowl, but the Seahawks lost some depth throughout the lineup. Enter Howell, who was a one-man wrecking crew in College Station and could easily mesh into Seattle's "Dark Side" defense up front.
One of the biggest questions surrounding a potential union between the two is Seattle's draft position. The Seahawks hold only four picks throughout the entirety of the draft, including the final selection in the pivotal opening round.
Howell has been tagged as a first-round talent, which could mean he is off the board well before the No. 32 pick.
There have also been rumors that Seattle will trade back to accumulate more selections, which could pose even more of a challenge of snagging Howell, depending on where the new picks slot in.
Regardless of if he ends up in the place he spoke so highly of, it is almost a certainty that Howell will hear his name called during the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh. He could be one of the first dominoes to fall in a potentially historic draft class for Texas A&M.
