Former Texas A&M receiver KC Concepcion is bringing No. 1 energy to Cleveland after the Browns confirmed his rookie jersey number.

Former Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion is already making noise in Cleveland, and he hasn’t even played an NFL snap yet.

The Browns announced that their first-round rookie will wear No. 1 for the 2026 season, giving the ex-Aggie a clean, bold look as he begins his pro career.

For Texas A&M fans, it’s another reminder of just how quickly Concepcion’s star has climbed. After playing for the Aggies last season, he turned himself into one of the most talked-about rookie receivers in the NFL and now steps into Cleveland with a number that screams confidence.

The jersey drama started during rookie minicamp and picked up steam at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, where top rookies posed in their new uniforms. Concepcion had previously been linked to No. 17, but photos showed him wearing No. 1, sparking immediate speculation.

Now the Browns have settled it.

There had also been chatter that second-year running back Quinshon Judkins could switch from No. 10 to No. 1, especially after rookie linebacker Justin Jefferson appeared in No. 10 at minicamp. But Cleveland’s announcement points to Concepcion being the man in No. 1 once the regular-season roster is finalized.

Jersey numbers aren’t technically official until 53-man rosters are set on Sept. 1, but let’s be real: Concepcion isn’t fighting for a spot. He’s expected to be a central piece of the Browns’ offensive future.

That’s what makes this fun for Aggies fans. Concepcion didn’t just leave College Station for the league. He walked into the NFL with first-round expectations, instant branding and a number that puts a target on his back.

Cleveland needs explosive playmakers, and Concepcion was drafted to be exactly that. Whether he’s stretching the field, creating after the catch or becoming a young quarterback’s best friend, the Browns clearly see him as a headline piece.

From Texas A&M to No. 1 in Cleveland, KC Concepcion’s NFL chapter is already getting loud.
