Former Texas A&M guard Chase Bisontis signed a fully guaranteed rookie contract with Arizona and could push for a starting job right away.

Chase Bisontis is officially getting paid, and the Arizona Cardinals clearly aren’t treating him like a wait-and-see project.

The former Texas A&M offensive lineman has signed his rookie contract after being selected No. 34 overall in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The deal is fully guaranteed across all four years and is worth $13.26 million, including a $6.1 million signing bonus.

That’s strong money. It’s also a strong message.

Bisontis entered the draft as one of the cleaner guard prospects in the class after three seasons with the Aggies. Arizona had chances to move out of the No. 34 pick, but the Cardinals stayed put and grabbed a player who could immediately reshape the interior of their offensive line.

Now the real fight starts.

Right guard could become one of Arizona’s nastiest training camp battles. Isaiah Adams started 11 games there last season and still has two years left on his rookie deal.

But Bisontis wasn’t drafted near the top of Round 2 to sit quietly. If he adjusts quickly, he can push Adams into a reserve role and earn early snaps as a rookie.

The Cardinals went offense early in the draft, taking running back Jeremiyah Love before doubling down with Bisontis. That tells you plenty about the plan.

Arizona wants more punch, more protection and more attitude around the line of scrimmage.

For Texas A&M, this is another loud NFL development. Bisontis built his reputation in the SEC, where interior linemen don’t get many easy Saturdays. Now he’ll try to turn that experience into a starting job in the desert.

Arizona has now signed five of its seven draft picks. Quarterback Carson Beck and defensive tackle Kaleb Proctor remain unsigned, but neither is expected to have the same contract leverage as Bisontis.

For Bisontis, the business part is done. Next comes the fun part: proving he belongs in the Cardinals’ starting five.
