From dynamic open-space playmaking to a dominant Week 7 breakout, the former Aggies star is skyrocketing up re-draft boards while cementing his status as Cleveland’s premier offensive weapon.
Former Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion entered the 2026 NFL Draft after an impressive final collegiate season with the Aggies, and the Cleveland Browns didn't hesitate to make him a first-round selection.
Cleveland selected Concepcion with the 24th overall pick, adding a much-needed explosive playmaker to its receiving corps.
Concepcion spent just one season in College Station after transferring from NC State, but he made the most of his opportunity. He finished his lone season with Texas A&M recording 61 receptions for 919 yards and nine touchdowns. He also contributed 75 rushing yards and a touchdown on 10 carries while establishing himself as one of the most dangerous returners in college football.
His production earned him first-team All-SEC honors, first-team All-American recognition as an all-purpose player and the Paul Hornung Award, which recognizes the most versatile player in college football.
Now, several months into his professional career, Concepcion is beginning to show why Cleveland invested a first-round pick in him.
In a recent re-draft of the 2026 NFL Draft entering Week 8, Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski projected Concepcion to go 16th overall to the New York Jets, moving him up eight spots from where he was originally selected.
The recognition comes after Concepcion has established himself as an important piece of Cleveland's offense in the past few weeks. His ability to create plays in open space has made him a valuable weapon, with Cleveland's coaching staff finding different ways to get the football into his hands.
He has shown flashes at times so far this season, but he really broke out in Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans. Concepcion went off for 129 yards on eight receptions, and he also contributed 23 rushing yards.
For Texas A&M, seeing Concepcion receive this type of recognition so early in his NFL career is another positive reflection of the program's ability to develop professional talent.
Although he still has plenty of room to grow, his rookie production has already made a strong impression. Moving from No. 24 to No. 16 in a re-draft is a significant jump, and Concepcion has an opportunity to climb even higher as his NFL career continues.
