Kyndal Stowers sets a Texas A&M three-set scoring record with 25.5 points as the No. 14 Aggies sweep Mississippi State for their sixth straight win.
Kyndal Stowers added another Texas A&M volleyball record to her growing résumé Sunday, powering the No. 14 Aggies past Mississippi State in straight sets at Reed Arena.
Stowers produced 20 kills, a career-high five service aces and one block, totaling a program-record 25.5 points in a three-set match as Texas A&M rolled to a 25-22, 25-20, 28-26 victory.
The Aggies improved to 10-5 overall and 3-0 in SEC play, extending their winning streak to six matches while recording their fourth consecutive sweep.
Stowers was at the center of nearly everything.
Texas A&M trailed Mississippi State 18-15 late in the opening set before closing on a 10-4 run. Stowers finished the comeback with a kill to secure the 25-22 win.
The Aggies carried that momentum into the second set, breaking away from an 11-11 tie and eventually taking a 25-20 victory.
Mississippi State made Texas A&M work for the sweep in the third.
The Bulldogs pushed the Aggies beyond regulation before A&M finally finished the match with a 28-26 win.
Stowers’ performance marked her second Texas A&M scoring record this season.
She previously set the rally-scoring-era program record for points in a five-set match with 34.5 against Indiana on Sept. 2. That night, Stowers recorded 29 kills, five blocks and two aces.
Her latest performance also highlighted a strong serving day for Texas A&M.
The Aggies finished with a season-high eight aces, with Stowers accounting for five of them herself.
That kind of production is becoming familiar.
Stowers entered 2026 after earning second-team All-America honors and starring in Texas A&M’s 2025 national championship run. She’s continued adding milestones rather than slowing down.
Now the Aggies take their momentum on the road.
Texas A&M visits Oklahoma on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. CT for its first SEC road match of the season.
