Teaming up with a returning Aaron Donald in Los Angeles, the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year joins a terrifying front seven built to secure his first championship.

Myles Garrett has spent his NFL career so far with the Cleveland Browns, so he has not gotten many chances to be in contention.

But after making the move to the Los Angeles Rams, the former Texas A&M star suddenly finds himself in by far the best situation of his career. And perhaps the best situation that any defensive player has had in recent memory.

And now, the Rams have made their Super Bowl aspirations even clearer.

Just a few months after Garrett's arrival in Los Angeles, the Rams convinced franchise legend Aaron Donald to come out of retirement and rejoin the team for the 2026 season. Donald, one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history, gives Los Angeles another dominant force along the defensive line and could make an already dangerous unit downright terrifying.

For Garrett, that's about as good as it gets.

The former No. 1 overall pick has already accomplished nearly everything an individual player can in the NFL. He has established himself as one of the league's premier pass rushers and is coming off a 2025 season in which he earned another Defensive Player of the Year award. But the one accomplishment missing from his résumé is a Super Bowl ring.

That could finally change in Los Angeles.

Garrett won't have to carry the entire defense on his shoulders. Opposing offensive lines will have to account for him on the edge while also worrying about Donald attacking from the interior. That could create opportunities for both players, while giving Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula an enormous amount of flexibility when designing pressure packages.

The Rams also aren't simply relying on their defense. Los Angeles enters the season with Matthew Stafford at quarterback and a roster that has been aggressively built to compete for a championship. The team was already considered one of the NFL's top Super Bowl contenders before Donald's return pushed expectations even higher.

For an Aggie, there is an obvious reason to root for Garrett to finish the job.

Garrett has spent years establishing himself as one of the NFL's most feared defensive players ever. Now, at 30 years old, he has an opportunity to play alongside another generational talent while competing for a championship in a situation specifically built to win now.

The Rams' acquisition of Garrett was already a massive statement.

Donald coming back makes it even louder.

If Garrett can stay healthy and perform at the level Aggies fans have come to expect, there may not be a better opportunity for him to finally add a Super Bowl ring to his already impressive résumé.
