Texas A&M football picked up another important recruiting win Thursday when four-star commit Hakim Frampton announced he’s shutting down his recruitment and sticking with the Aggies.

That’s a big development for Mike Elko’s staff as the Aggies continue building one of the strongest recruiting classes in the country.
Frampton committed to Texas A&M on Sept. 27, 2025, the same day he made an unofficial visit to College Station.
The Aggies had been involved for a while, offering him in June 2024 and getting him on campus multiple times before landing his pledge.
He had plenty of options. Auburn, Arkansas, UCLA and several others extended scholarship offers, but Frampton now appears locked in with Texas A&M.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Frampton is ranked as the No. 410 overall player in the country, the No. 31 athlete nationally and the No. 55 player in Texas.
While he’s listed as an athlete, he’s expected to play cornerback for the Aggies.
His junior season showed why Texas A&M wanted him so badly. Frampton impacted the game in all three phases. At wide receiver, he caught 37 passes for 724 yards and nine touchdowns.
Defensively, he totaled 46 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and three pass breakups. He also averaged 27.8 yards per kickoff return and took one back for a touchdown.
