Texas A&M added former Big 12 Player of the Year Olivia Lincer, giving Mark Weaver’s Aggies another proven championship piece.
Texas A&M women’s tennis just added a serious weapon, and Olivia Lincer brings the kind of resume that gets attention fast.
Head coach Mark Weaver announced Thursday that the Aggies have signed Lincer, the former Big 12 Player of the Year who spent last season at Oklahoma State after previously starring at UCF.

For a Texas A&M program built around championship expectations, this isn’t just a depth move. It’s a statement.
“We are excited to announce the addition of Olivia to our program,” Weaver said. “The signing enables us to continue to strive to bring more and more championships back to Aggieland.”
Lincer was a force in the Big 12 before ever putting on the maroon and white.
As a junior at Oklahoma State, she climbed as high as No. 119 nationally in singles and earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors.
She also carried the responsibility of playing Court 1, where there’s nowhere to hide and every match comes with heat.
She proved she could handle it.
Lincer knocked off No. 39 Margot Phanthala of Northwestern 6-2, 6-1, then hammered No. 43 Gabriella Broadfoot of NC State 6-1, 6-2. Those aren’t just good wins. Those are top-line, tournament-caliber results.
“She has performed at the highest of levels in her college career,” Weaver said. “I truly believe that her best tennis is still yet to come.”
Her best stretch came at UCF, where she went 15-2 in singles as a sophomore and added 11 doubles wins.
That season earned her Big 12 Player of the Year, All-Big 12 First Team honors in singles and doubles, and Big 12 All-Tournament recognition in singles.
As a freshman, Lincer was already making noise.
She was named the 2024 Big 12 Freshman of the Year and landed on the Big 12 All-Freshman Team after collecting five conference singles wins.

Now she joins an Aggies program that expects to compete deep into May.
