The scouting combine is often a place where a player's draft stock increases or diminishes, and for Concepcion, his stock is trending upward even before hitting the field.

If Texas A&M's KC Concepcion wanted to make an impact at the scouting combine, well, the All-American is doing just that.

After his only season with the Aggies, which saw him post 919 yards and 9 TDs, he's entered the scouting combine with first-round potential.

Of course, based on what he does in Indianapolis, we could see him either soar up draft boards or fall back.

But right now, it appears Concepcion is moving in the right direction...and he hasn't even been on the field yet.

Granted, some NFL teams take what happens at the scouting combine with a grain of salt, instead looking at a player's college film, but it also provides them with the chance to correlate what they've seen on film and what the player does in Indianapolis.

NFL and CFB analyst Ryan Fowler posted on X that Concepcion is one of the hottest names at the combine thus far.

"Probably the most popular name in Indy so far? Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion, who has 23 formal meetings this week, source said," Fowler posted.

"Teams making sure they get extended time with one of the premier wideouts in the class."

So it appears that Concepcion is going to be one of the most-watched receivers among those who take the field in Indianapolis.

With several teams needing receiver help, most notably the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and the Kansas City Chiefs, if Concepcion has a good combine, there is a fair chance he ends up as a first-round pick, if he isn't already.

Granted, he might already be penciled in as that, due to his incredible burst and ability to separate from his defender, coupled with his ability to be a weapon after the catch, there will be no shortage of suitors.

With Concepcion rising up the draft boards even before taking the field, that should hold him in good standing for the combine and his overall draft status.

Of course, he can either help or hinder that once he's on the field, but right now?

It appears several NFL teams are already sold on the Aggie star.
