Aggies build strong relationships, prioritize academics, and boast NFL-ready talent, positioning them as frontrunners for a top 2027 offensive lineman.

Texas A&M continues to separate itself in the race for one of the most important offensive line prospects in the 2027 cycle, and all signs point toward momentum building in College Station.

Four-star offensive lineman Albert Simien has narrowed his focus to a short list that includes Texas A&M, Nebraska, and LSU, but recent developments suggest the Aggies remain firmly in the driver's seat.

An early prediction already favors Texas A&M, and while Simien continues to do his diligence, the tone surrounding his recruitment continues to lean toward maroon.

Speaking with Rivals insider Chad Simmons, Simien detailed the factors shaping his long-term decision, emphasizing both on-field development and academics.

Planning to major in Psychology, Simien has made it clear that his future program must align with his goals beyond football - something Texas A&M has consistently checked off throughout the process.

That comfort level extends far beyond campus tours. According to Simien, the Aggies' staff has made a lasting impression by prioritizing genuine relationships rather than transactional recruiting.

He cited a visit that coincided with his father's birthday, noting that the entire coaching staff acknowledged the occasion without prompting, an attention to detail that resonated deeply with his family.

Stability on the coaching staff has also played a major role. With offensive line coach Adam Cushing set to return next season, Simien views Texas A&M as a place where development is not only emphasized but proven.

The Aggies' offensive line allowed just 14 sacks this season and is expected to send three starters to the NFL as probable second-day draft selections this spring.

While Nebraska and LSU remain respected contenders, Texas A&M continues to check every meaningful box ... relationships, development, academics, and NFL preparation.

As the 2027 cycle begins to take shape, the Aggies aren't just involved in Simien's recruitment; they're setting the pace.
