The Texas Longhorns got a favorable ranking on Tuesday night. They sit at No. 11 in the initial College Football Playoff rankings. 

A couple of Big 12 teams slot ahead of Texas with undefeated BYU and one-loss Texas Tech at No. 7 and 8 respectively. Those two teams clash this weekend to determine the top of the Big 12 pecking order.
