The Texas Longhorns kicked off basketball season tonight, falling to the Duke Blue Devils by a final score of 75-60. Although it was a double-digit loss, there was a lot to like about the Longhorns' effort. 

What were your biggest takeaways from the opener? Did staying competitive with the No. 6 team in the country for most of the game give you more optimism?

The SEC is loaded with talent this season, so there will be plenty more opportunities to play a team of Duke's caliber once conference play comes around.
