The Texas Longhorns return to the Moody Center on Monday night riding momentum, milestones, and one of the toughest home-court advantages in the country.
Texas welcomes the Kentucky Wildcats for a marquee SEC showdown that tips at 6:30 p.m. CT and will be nationally televised on SEC Network.
At 22-2 overall and 7-2 in league play, Texas has been built on consistency and star power, starting with point guard Rori Harmon.
Harmon continues to etch her name deeper into the program’s record book. She recently became the Longhorns’ all-time steals leader with 351 and already owns the school assist record with 894.
She’s now approaching a historic NCAA milestone that would place her alone among Division I players in points, assists, steals, and rebounds.
Offensively, Texas leans heavily on All-American Madison Booker, who has been dominant in conference play.
Booker is averaging 19.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.3 steals per game against SEC competition while shooting better than 46 percent from the floor. Her ability to impact every possession has made Texas one of the most balanced teams in the nation.
Freshman Aaliyah Crump has also added another scoring punch since returning from injury.
Crump has reached double figures in four straight games and is shooting an eye-catching 57.1 percent overall and 53.8 percent from 3 in league play, giving Texas a lethal perimeter option.
Kentucky enters the matchup at 18-6 and is looking to climb back above .500 in SEC action.
The Wildcats face a daunting task inside Moody Center, where Texas owns a 64-5 record and the nation’s longest active home winning streak at 39 games.
Monday’s contest also doubles as Texas’ Pink Game, encouraging fans to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
With a ranked opponent, a packed arena, and history continuing to unfold, the stage is set for another memorable night in Austin.
